Who We Are
About Us
Redbud Care Homes operates one seven-bed and four six-bed Residential Care Facilities for the Elderly in beautiful Sunset Terrace area of Redding California, providing assisted living services. All five of our homes are authorized to accept ambulatory/non-ambulatory, dementia and hospice residents. Unlike institutional facilities, each of our homes provide more one on one care and an intimacy is not available in larger settings. We have both private and semi-private rooms available, and couples are accepted. We pride ourselves on serving excellent three meals a day and providing stimulating activities in a warm family atmosphere with the same familiar faces. Redbud Care Homes setting and familiar faces make it a place where people can live in dignity and feel cared about each day. We have on-site physical therapy services and work closely with family and physicians to ensure the highest quality care. Co-owner is a registered nurse. Care is available 24 hours a day to provide assistance, companionship, and support. Facility tours are done 7 days a week.
Our Staff
The most important part of the caregiving staff is continuity. Redbud Care Homes strives to hire, train, and retain excellent caregivers. A satisfying work environment is essential but, by far, the secret to keeping good staff is to pay them a good wage and benefits. Surveys have shown that Redbud Care Homes pays their caregivers the highest wage in our community. We are proud to say that many of the caregivers we hired when we opened in 2002 are still with us, with the average caregiver working for several years. Some leave us only after they finish nursing school.

Services
Activities Programs
We have a full time activity coordinator on site. Our life enrichment activity coordinators plan a calendar of daily activities for our residents to participate in, with a broad range of options to fit all preferences. Each of our residents have the unique opportunity to be part of a six-bed home, but also participate in a full activities program. Westside Assisted Living has the large activity room where residents from all five homes come to enjoy their favourite activities. Activity coordinator schedules activities throughout the week. Activities offered to our residents are walking around the neighborhood, exercise, bingo, singing, music therapy and lunch bunch. Stimulation activities, all centered around a "family atmosphere." We also have a 15 seater van that takes our residents to the lake, petting zoo and local market every Thursday.
Dining
At Redbud Care Homes, we recognize that diet is one of the most important aspects of a senior's life. We focus on from-scratch cooking using fine ingredients that flavor natural herbs and spices, as well as many local and fresh ingredients to serve our residents delicious and well-balanced meals each day. Redbud is proud to provide residents three well-balanced meals as well as daily snacks. We make every effort to provide meals that meet the special needs and preferences of our residents.
Safety and Wellbeing
The wellbeing and safety of our residents is our # 1 priority. Staff are available 24 hours a day, so if you need assistance with escorting, bathing, eating, incontinent care, medication administration or dressing we are here to help. Administrators are physically present on the premises daytime and on call during nighttime, 7 days a week including holidays and weekends to assist with your care requirements.
